Memo to John McCain - I think that your proposals for lowering the corporate tax rate, expensing of new equipment in the first year (which I think would be huge boon for the economy), keeping capital gains low and getting rid of the AMT are all excellent proposals. However, it's none of your (nor the U.S. Government's) damn business how much money anyone in the private sector makes and quite frankly I don't know where you or the U.S. Government thinks you get the authority to regulate it from.

John McCain quote - "If I am elected president, I intend to see that wrongdoing of this kind (extravagant salaries and severance deals of CEOs) is called to account by federal prosecutors. And under my reforms, all aspects of a CEO's pay, including any severance arrangements, must be approved by shareholders," he will say.
